<br />I <br /> <br />On the Narrm'1s Unit, we had completed, <br />since our last meeting, a draft of the feasi- <br />bility report which had been sent around for <br />review to our regional office, Chief Engineer's <br />office, and a very informal review in our <br />Washington office, and from those comments <br />that we had received on those we had revised <br />the report as far as we could take it. We <br />were still lacking items in connection with <br />the Fish and wildlife and National Park Ser- <br />vice so we could not complete the report in <br />its final form. This past week, however, we <br />did receive the necessary figures and are now <br />proceeding to revise our cost estimates, bene- <br />fits, and allocations so that within the next <br />two weeks we hope to have, over to the printers, <br />the completed draft of the report. I th.ink <br />by about the end of August or early in septem- <br />ber we should have that report in Washington. <br /> <br />On our Upper South Platte Unit, progress <br />was made in all phases of the investigation. <br />The completed work consisted of final tracings <br />of topographic maps for Two Forks and Turkshead <br />Dam sites, the preliminary draft of the geology <br />report, and the preliminary operation study for <br />determining the size of Two Forks Reservoir. <br /> <br />Compilation of design data is in progress <br />and work is continuing on the geological inves- <br />tigations and the road relocation studies. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation officials met with <br />officials of the City of Aurora and discussed <br />the possibility of using Two Forks Reservoir <br />for holdover storage of Homestake Project water. <br />The objective of the discussions was to seek <br />the city officials' concurrence that the upper <br />South Platte operation studies should include <br />the transbasin imports and water utilization <br />of the Homestake Project. <br /> <br />previous studies and reports on the st. <br />Vrain Unit were reevaluated. Map studies of <br />potential reservoir sites were made, and <br />materials quantities for dams with various <br />
