<br />Policy Implementation Objectives <br /> <br />Water Information Section <br /> <br />Decision Support Systems (DSS) - Operate and maintain Colorado's DSS as an essential . <br />Service. This effort involves many actions items that revolve round the continued <br />development and support of decision support systems for the major basins - a decision <br />support system that is always current and is useful to CWCB, SEO, water users, water <br />consultants, and others as necessary. <br /> <br />Technical Support and Consultinl! - Provide technical support and consulting services to <br />CWCB and other state, federal, and local entities, as needed, regarding areas of water <br />information management, website, and Internet based communications and information, <br />and file storage. <br /> <br />Statewide Outreach and Education - Each Section shall perform outreach and education <br />including participating in public awareness and prilgram advocacy activities to increase <br />public and organizational understanding of CWCB and develop opportunities for each <br />Section to achieve their goals. <br /> <br />Water Information - Provide coordination and support to all facets of CWCB water <br />information management including web page publishing and maintenance, section <br />newsletters, library filing and maintenance, and all types of information management. <br />Each Section has responsibilities to this Section to ~oordinate work with other Sections <br />and Divisions within the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to make information <br />assessable to CWCB's customers regarding water supply conservation and drought <br />planning and protection, as well as general information related to the Section, through . <br />publications, the Internet, databases, and the imaging of documents. <br /> <br />Water Resource Information Center - Provide a central resource center for the review <br />and analysis of CWCB actions, CWCB recommenllations. publications, studies, reports, <br />and associated materials designed to educate the public and help water users make sound <br />resource decisions. <br /> <br />Water Education - Support the establishment and implementation of a water education <br />foundation that will promote a better understanding of water issues through educational <br />opportunities and resources so Colorado citizens will understand water as a limited <br />resource and will make informed decisions. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1/14/2002 <br />
