<br />Policy Implementation Objectives <br /> <br />Conservation and Drought Planning Section <br /> <br />. Promote Water Use Efficiencv - Initiate, evaluate, and monitor water use efficiency plans <br />from water suppliers serving over 2,000 acre feet of water annually and with other state <br />agencies, including consideration of statutory criteria specified in SBOl-113 and HB91- <br />1154. Develop standards to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of water use efficiency <br />practices and provide professional and technical assistance through meetings, workshops, <br />and personal contacts. <br /> <br />Conservation and Droul!ht Planninl! Assistance - Develop and maintain an inventory of <br />communities with drought plans. Provide technical assistance to water users and <br />communities to evaluate their water supply facilities under drought scenarios. Contact <br />water users and communities to determine if drought plans have been revised and if <br />technical assistance is needed. Prepare and disseminate water conservation information <br />including Best Management Practices including landscaping and turf management for a <br />wide variety of water users. <br /> <br />Dam Site Inventorv - Maintain a GIS inventory and other appropriate tabulations and <br />documents about potential water supply storage sites throughout Colorado. Update the <br />inventory annually to include new sites. Develop and present an annual report to the <br />CWCB. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Technical Support and Consultinl! - Provide technical support and consulting services to <br />CWCB and other state, federal, and local entities, as needed, regarding the coordination <br />of potential projects with the CWCB Construction Fund Loan Program and Colorado <br />Water Resource and Power Development Authority to determine whether loan applicants <br />have satisfied the requirements of HB 91-1154. Monitor compliance with existing grant <br />demonstration grant contracts and coordinate with grant recipients to ensure completion <br />of projects. <br /> <br />Statewide Outreach and Education - Each Section shall perform outreach and education <br />including participating in public awareness and program advocacy activities to increase <br />public and organizational understanding of CWCB and develop opportunities for each <br />Section to achieve their goals. <br /> <br />Water Information Make information assessable to CWCB's customers regarding <br />water supply conservation and drought planning and protection, as well as general <br />information related to the Section, through publications, the Internet, databases, and the <br />imaging of documents. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1/14/2002 <br />
