<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company - Poudre Valley Canal/Cobb Lake Pipeline <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 96-153 <br />Water Source: Cache la Poudre River <br />Terms of Loan: $1,202,000@4.15%for30yrs <br /> <br />County: WeldILarimer <br />Project Yield: 10,500 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Ditch Lining and Pipeline <br /> <br />The Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company has recently initiated a IS year staged <br />rehabilitation program of their 25 miles of canal and 6 reservoirs. This second project consists of <br />the replacement of Cobb Lake's outlet pipe connecting to an outlet channel 2,500 feet downstream, <br />Smith Geotechnical of Fort Collins, Colorado completed the project design of the Cobb Lake <br />outlet pipe project. The construction contract was awarded to Zak Dirt, Inc, of Longmont, <br />Colorado in late October 1997, The project commenced construction in late December 1997 due to <br />cold weather delays and is scheduled for completion in April 1998. A third project associated with <br />this loan authorization is scheduled to commence in the Fall 1998. <br /> <br />Proiects Under Desil!ll <br /> <br />Excelsior Irrigating Company - Excelsior Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Arkansas Riyer <br />Terms of Loan: $230,000 @ 3,75% for 30 yrs <br /> <br />County: Pueblo <br />Project Yield: 4,250 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Ditch Rehab/Recharge Ponds <br /> <br />This $335,000 project is the re-construction of approximately 2 miles of open ditch, which <br />has previously been abandoned and farmed over. Also included in the project is the construction of <br />6 recharge ponds along the ditch for groundwater augmentation and storage, and several pump <br />stations for water delivery, The project is located in Pueblo County 10 miles east of Pueblo, Project <br />design is being prepared by the Pueblo Office of the Natural Resource Conservation Service, Ralph <br />Adkins, P.E. of Pueblo, Irrigation Engineering of Alamosa and Hendrooke Sprinklers of Ft. <br />Collins. Project construction is scheduled to commence in early 1998 with project completion <br />scheduled for May 1998. <br /> <br />Lefthand Ditch Company - Rehabilitation of Lefthand Valley Reservoir <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 95-1155 <br />Water Source: Lefthand Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $370,000 @4.5% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Boulder <br />Project Yield: 1,624 ac,ft, <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the result of the State Engineer's order to increase the spillway capacity of <br />the Lefthand Valley Reservoir in order to comply with dam safety rules and regulations regarding <br />downstream structures. The project includes the replacement of the current spillway with a larger <br />roller compacted concrete spillway and stilling basin. Design engineering and the permitting <br />process was completed by Rocky Mountain Consultants of Longmont, Colorado. Due to <br />unexpectedly high bid prices in 1997, the Company requested and was successful in their <br />application for additional project funds from the Board at the November Board meeting. The <br />project has been re-scheduled for a September 1998 construction commencement. <br />
