<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minturn, Town of - Bolts Lake Dam and Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 96-153 <br />Water Source: Cross Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $360,000 @ 5,25% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Eagle <br />Project Yield: 120 ac.ft, <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Town of Minturn has employed McLaughlin Water Engineers, Ltd, of Denver to <br />design the rehabilitation of the Bolt Lake Dam outlet works and supply ditch south of Minturn. <br />The project has been delayed due to complications associated with acquisition of project right-of- <br />way, The project has been tentatively re-scheduled for construction in late 1998. <br /> <br />Buffalo Mutual Irrigation Company - Rehabilitation of the Decker Lateral Ditch <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Arkansas River <br />Terms.ofLoan: $250,000 @ 3,75% for 30 yrs <br /> <br />County: Prowers <br />Project Yield: 17,560 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Diversion Structure <br /> <br />This $325,000 project is the re-construction of the Buffalo Mutual Irrigation Company's <br />diversion structure and headgate on the Arkansas River in Prowers County 17 miles east of the City <br />of Lamar. Wright Water Engineers of Denver, Colorado completed project design, Project <br />construction was scheduled to commence November I, 1997, with project completion scheduled <br />for spring 1998, A bid exceeding the project budget caused the Company to request supplemental <br />project funds from the Board at the November Board meeting, This successful request has resulted <br />in the project being re-scheduled for a September 1998 construction commencement. <br /> <br />Ute Water Conservancv District - Plateau Creek Pipeline <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 88-30 <br />Water Source: Grand Mesa Drainage <br />Terms of Loan: $7,600,000 @ 5% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Mesa <br />Project Yield: 7,200 ac,ft. <br />Project Type: Pipeline Construction <br /> <br />This project is the replacement of an existing IS-mile pipeline providing water to the Ute <br />Water Conservancy District. The District provides water to 55,000 people, or more than half of the <br />Grand Valley population, The project is currently in the environmental analysis phase of the <br />project design. The Environmental Assessment was heavily scrutinized by the Fish and Wildlife <br />Service relative to the Recovery Implementation Program along the IS-mile reach, This analysis <br />has resulted in the Bureau of Land Management (the lead federal agency) requiring an <br />Environmental Impact Statement be prepared before federal approval can be granted. The EIS is <br />scheduled for approval in February 1998, with project design to commence immediately thereafter. <br />
