<br />Farmers Pawnee Canal Comoanv- Diversion Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: 1998 Small Project Loan Account <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $29,000 @ 3.5% for 10 years <br /> <br />County: Logan - SW of Merino <br />Project Yield: 28,000 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Diversion Structure Rehab. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This project is the rehabilitation of the Company's diversion and headgate structure on the <br />South Platte River. The project includes the installation of sheet piling and concrete placement and <br />patching. The project restores damage caused by the July 1997 Pawnee Creek flood and protects <br />the benefit of irrigation water to about 10,000 acres of cropland. The project was designed by the <br />Natural Resource Conservation District, Sterling office and was constructed by R&R International, <br />Inc. of Denver. Construction commenced March 16, 1998 and was completed April 15, 1998. <br />Project documentation and final accounting is currently underway with substantial completion <br />scheduled in September 1998. <br /> <br />!' <br /> <br />Warnslev Cattle Comoimv - Pole Mountain Dam <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 93-1273 <br />Water Source: Off-Stream Drainage <br />Terms of Loan: $45,000 @ 3% for 40 years <br /> <br />County: Jackson- SW of Walden <br />Project Yield: 1,905 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This dam rehabilitation project commenced in March 1994 by the owners of the Wamsley <br />Cattle Company. The project consists of replacing the reservoir's outlet structure and improving the . <br />dam's upstrearn slope. The remaining work includes placement of the upstream face. The project <br />has been re- scheduled for completion in 1998. <br /> <br />Agricultural Ditch and Reservoir Comoanv - Rehabilitation of the Welch Ditch <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Clear Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $300,000 @ 5.25% for 30 yrs <br /> <br />County: Jefferson - NW Lakewood <br />Project Yield: 1,000 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Pipeline and Pumps <br /> <br />This $600,000 project involves the abandonrllent of portions of the Welch Ditch, <br />construction of a dropout structure on the Welch Ditch, a pipeline from the Agricultural Ditch to <br />the Welch Ditch, and construction of three lift stations to pump water from the Agricultural Ditch <br />back to the Welch Ditch at various locations. The need for the project is due to several landslide <br />areas along the Welch Ditch, which continue to create high maintenance and water delivery <br />problems for the company. The project is located in Jefferson County east of Green Mountain. <br />Mountain States Engineering Associates, Inc. of Lakewood prepared the project design. The <br />pipeline and dropout-structure project commenced construction November 3, 1997 by T. Lowell <br />Construction, Inc. of Castle Rock, Colorado and was completed in April 1998. The first of three . <br />pump station projects commenced in early February with the owner acting as the general <br />contractor. The overall project is approximately 85% complete and scheduled for completion in <br />November 1998. <br />
