I

I

J..U'.t~

MR. MILLER:

"I make a motion th~t the membership
fee be paid."

MR. BARNARD, JR. :
MR. MOSES:'

"I second the motion."

"All in favor say 'aye'; opposed the
same."

The motion was passed unanimously upon vote.

MR. MOSES: "The next item on the agenda is regular
dates for Board meetings. In that connection
I think we might discuss not only regular dates
but special dates if it doesn't happen to co-
incide with a regular date for our next meeting.
A suggestion has been made that we have a meeting
within a couple of weeks."

MR. BURR: "Mr. Chairman, I move that we have it on
the 30th."

MR. D. L. WILLIAMS: "I second the motion."

MR. MOSES: "All those in favor signify by saying
'aye'; opposed the same."

Upon vote, the motion unanimously carried.

MR. MOSES:

"Now then, this matter of a regular
Board Meeting date. Do you want to say some-
thing about that, Mr. Sparks?'

"The idea has been brought up many times.
It has some merit, in this respect, that at
least we can plan in advance. We have diffi-
culty now when we want to set a date. We have
to contact all the Board members. There is
something to be said for a fixed date. At
least you can set it a month or two months
ahead and you know long in advance when that
date is going to be. If we do set a date, I
think for the ordinary procedure of the Board,
it is better to have a regular meeting date.
We can always call special meetings or we can,
if necessary, suspend the regular board meetings.
I think it is always a good policy that we
know ahead of time when we can bring certain
issues before a regular meeting. The way it is
in effect now, everything is sort of a special
meeting.

"In order to set the meeting, the next
meeting could be set at each meeting held."

MR. SPARKS:

MR. McCANDLESS:
