It is 'recognized by the parties that the base of flood control-- <br />presently set at 5432.0 feet mean sea level--is subject to change by <br />Congressional legislation, which could establish a zone of storage for <br /> <br />use in ,providing municipal and industrial water supply under prOvisions <br />of Public Law 85-500. <br /> <br />Article 4. Gate Regulation. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />a. Irri,ll;ation Penstock Valves. At the beginning of the irrigation <br /> <br /> <br />season and upon notification by the State, the penstocks serving City, <br /> <br />Last Chance and Nevada Ditches will be charged by the Government. The <br />penstocks will remain charged throughout the irrigation season. At the <br />! <br /> <br />close of the irrigation season and Upon notification by the State <br />Engineer, the penstocks will be closed and drained by the Government <br />for routine annual inspection. Ins~ection and maintenance of the pen- <br />stocks including terminal valves, ~ll be performed by the Government. <br />The physical operation of the outlet: valve at the terminal end of <br /> <br />each penstock supplying water to the City, Last Chance, and Nevada <br />irrigation ditches will be made by a representative of ehe State <br /> <br />-3:- <br /> <br />~ <br />
