Other considerations include: M&I water needs in Colorado <br />and Utah, enhancement of fisheries and recreation values, <br />water to serve Indian lands on Uintah-Ouray reservation near <br />Ouray, Utah and non-Indian lands in both states, and water <br />for energy development other than the prototype oil shale <br />program. <br /> <br />Yellow Jacket Proi~ <br /> <br />A. Negotiations are under way with the State of Colorado, <br />Division of Wildlife for a biological resource inventory of <br />the project area. <br /> <br />B. Inventory would supplement data available through oil companies, <br />state agencies, and other federal agencies. <br /> <br />C. Current studies are being directed towards a reformation <br />study to meet the needs of energy development and associated <br />M&I requirements. The project would also provide supple- <br />mental water for 3,690 acres of presently inadequately <br />irrigated land, and a full supply of water for 10,500 acres <br />of land. <br /> <br />Advance Planning <br /> <br />Dallas Creek Proiect <br /> <br />A. Definite plan report being revised to comply with the basic <br />concern of State of Colorado, that the 24,000 acre-feet of <br />water designated in the DPR for the Kemmerer Coal Company, be <br />designated for agricultural purposes. <br /> <br />B. As indicated earlier, revision of DPR expected to be completed <br />within 2-4 months. <br /> <br />C. Final environmental statement scheduled to be filed with the <br />Council on Environmental Quality during the first half of <br />FY 1976. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />D. Construction is scheduled to start later in FY 1976. <br /> <br />West Divide Proj~ <br /> <br />A. Advisory committee has been formed from local interests to <br />provide input to the planning effort relative to needs and <br />problems of the area. <br /> <br />B. Efforts have been concentrated on gathering resource data and <br />on studying alternative reservoir sites to Placita Reservoir. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
