603

MR. CRAWFORD:

"I have a letter from Mr. E. O.
Larson as follows:

United States
Department of the Interior
Bureau of Reclamation
Region 4
Post Office Box 360
Salt Lake City 10, Utah

Dec. 19, 1956

I

Mr. Ivan C. Crawford, Director,"
Colorado Water Conservation Board,
212 State Office Building,
Denver 2, Colorado.

Dear Mr. Crawford:

We are in receipt of a letter from State Engineer
L. C. Bishop of Wyoming, stating that it is the desire of
the water users in the Little Snake River Valley, in which
his office concurs, to have further investigations on the
Savery Reservoir unit of the Savery-Pot Hook project sepa-
rated from the Pot Hook unit of that project.

Would you kindly advise if your State concurs in
this suggestion, and if so recommend what if anything
should be done at the present time in further investigation
of the Pot Hook unit of the project for use of water in
Colorado. As I remember in discussing this matter with you
verbally at one time, you indicated that the people in Colo-
rado were not too interested in this development at this'
time. If this is still your conclusion, we would appreciate
being so advised. :

Very truly yours,

E. O. Larson/s
Regional Director

The question now arises is th~re
any objection in this State to the
State of Wyoming proceeding on that
part of the project located in Wyom-
ing? I personally can see no objec-
tion to this but I purposely held up
this letter, as you can tell by the
date, until such time as I could talk
the matter over with Mr. McCandless."

I
