Each alternative plan shall include measures to mitigate any
effects on environmental, cultural, and social features and values.

The quality control CQC) processes described in the QC Plan will be performed for all work,
including an independent quality control review of all products.

2.3 SURVEYING AND MAPPING. The necessary flights and work to begin mapping is
assumed to be accomplished in conjunction with the study. Purchase of the mapping and digital
terrain model will be an initial step in the feasibility process. Checking of the mapping will be
performed by the Government to insure accuracy for usage in the study. Horizontal and vertical
control will be to the third order accuracy. The minimum scale of 1" = 200' and two-foot contour
intervals will be used for all mapping obtained in the valley area, and five-foot contour interval
mapping will be used for the mountain area. The larger scale for mapping is required for detail of
work included in the technical appendix to the feasibility study. All topographic mapping will
meet National Mapping Standards. Coordinate ji'bsitions of control points will be based on state
plane coordinates.

The quality control CQC) processes described 'in the.Q€'Plan will be performed for all work,
including an independent technical review of all products.

2.4 GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATIONS.
