J/O.,)

We have been taking soundings on the
reservoir through the ice to determine its
exact capacity for use in the negotiations
with the C. F. & I.

I

The route location for the relocated
railroad around Pueblo Reservoir has been
started and field surveys are in process on
that.

The Southeastern Colorado Water Conser-
vancy District has requested, on February
13th, that we prepare and present to them a
draft of our proposed repayment contract.
They expect to consider that at their regular
meeting tomorrow, March 12th.

We also have, as I mentioned, done some
work on the proposed negotiations with the
Colorado Fuel and Iron Corporation on Turquoise
Lake.

We are continuing the work on the hydro-
logic operations of the Fryingpan-Arkansas
Project on the computer. We are running those
operations for the project itself and also for
the Homestake Project. When we get satisfac-
tory results on the runs of each project inde-
pendently then we will start runs on the
combination of the two. We hope that we will
be in a position to get a combined run in the
very near future; probably within the next
week or ten days.

We are also, of course, studying the
power markets for the Fry-Ark power and the
integration of that power into the intercon-
nected systems of the Western Division.

I

We opened a laboratory at Salida on
November 12th and are installing the equipment
and getting ready to operate that laboratory
during the construction of the project as a
whole.

We are also about to open a construction
office at Glenwood Springs.
