~/O~

Fryingpan area. That report is now being
reviewed and the indications are that the
recommendations of the Forest Service may be
modified. That affects particularly the Ruedi
Dam and Reservoir over there.

An item of interest I think to all of you
who may want to visit us out there at the
Federal Center is a model of the Ruedi Dam
outlet works which is now being constructed in
the laboratory. It is a 1 to 42 scale model
and it will contain the overfall spillway,
spillway chute and stilling basin; the auxiliary
outlet works which discharges into the spilling
basin; the service outlet works and stilling
basin; and the Rocky Fork Creek bypass channel
and its stilling basin. This is going to be
quite a large model. He has been plagued with bad weather
and bad conditions, and is not making very good
progress at all and hasn't, up to now.

I
