I

I

MR. GREER:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. KNIGHTS:

.., ,..........

"Mr. Knights will."

"Mr. Knights. Jim Knights from Region

7."

"Thank you, Ben. It has been quite a
while since we've had a Board meeting and many
things have transpired. Our written report,
at least, is somewhat longer than usual. I'll
try to make the verbal part of the report as
short as I can and still cover the subject.
I noted this morning the length of time since
the last meeting and, thinking back, I've even
made a trip to Brazil and back and investigated
a project report down there. That makes it
seem longer than it has been.

First on our North Platte Project office,
the contractor on the Hayden-Archer transmis-
sion line, that's a 230-kv line, has completed
about 30 percent of his work under schedule 1,
and 18 percent of his schedule 2. They are now
closed down on part of the work due to the
winter weather; closing down on the 17th of
December.

We took 21 bids in the Cheyenne office of
the Construction Engineer for the construction
of the Archer substation and the contract was
awarded to Wismer and Beck on February 11, in
the amount of $1,316,000.

On the Kansas River Projects the only
thing affecting Colorado on the work down there
is on the North Republican Unit and the 'wrap-
up' report on that unit is in progress. We do
not find feasibility for the project there.

On the Fryingpan-Arkansas project, of
course a great deal of activity has been going
on. Of principal interest, I think, would be
the Forest Service impact report that was re-
leased on the White River National Forest and
there they have come up with recreational bene-
fits and called for an acquisition of some
1,770 acres of privately owned land in the
