There was a major contract awarded on
the 230-kv transmission line between Curecanti
to Poncha Junction and, as Jim has already
mentioned here, the regional work on the
Archer substation on which Region 7 is doing
the construction work.

Moving on to the participating projects,
the Silt Project is well under way to initiate
construction. We anticipate calling for bids
on the storage unit of that project, Rifle Gap
Dam, and we anticipate that these specifica-
tions will be completed sometime in April.
We have appointed a construction engineer for
that project and he will move, up at Anvil
Point, into the old oil shale demonstration
plant. We have made arrangements to house
people required for the construction of this
project at this Bureau of Mines installation.
This will save us the expense of constructing
the camp and we hope to be able to operate
from that installation.

On our General Investigations, Reconnais-
sance Investigations, our Upper Gunnison Basin
report is essentially completed. It is in
the final stage of preparation. We are still
doing some work on the Ruedi-Western Slope
Investigation, a cooperative study with your
Board, which work is essentially to coordi-
nate the designs of Ruedi Dam so that they
will fit in with the potential Basalt Project.
In accordance with our contract with you
people we are preparing a letter-type report
on this activity.

I think everybody is aware that the
Juniper report is out and I understand that
will be discussed a little later on.

As far as Feasibility Investigations are
concerned, I'll report the last activity on
all of these items. On the Animas-La Plata
Project, we have recently received the comments
of the State of New Mexico. We have not re-
ceived reports yet from Arizona and utah;
