Project Type: Canal Rehabilitation <br />This $325,000 project is the rehabilitation of the Pine River Canal at the Tunnel Hill site, <br />located 8 miles southeast ofIgnacio. The project consists ofreplacing a water supply tunnel in <br />poor condition, with approximately 700 lineal feet of 72 inch diameter concrete pipe, bypassing <br />the tunnel completely. The dam has an inadequate spillway and severe seepage through the embankment <br />and has had a storage restriction placed on it by the State Engineer. The Highland Ditch Company <br />has contracted with Smith Geotechnical Engineering Consultants of Fort Collins to analyze design <br />alternatives and complete construction plans and specifications.
