Construction <br />commenced by Zak Dirt of Longmont in September and, weather permitting, is scheduled for <br />completion in December 1999. <br /> <br />Wood Lake Mutual Water & Irrigation Comoanv - Wood Lake Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 County: Weld - W of Eaton <br />Water Source: Cache la Poudre River Project Yield: 3,106 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $188,000 @ 3.75% for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br />This project is the replacement of the Wood Lake Dam outlet works including all control <br />structures, installation of a toe drain, raising the existing saddle dam, and construction of a spillway <br />to pass the 50% Probable Maximum Precipitation flood. The need for the improvements is a result <br />of the State Engineer's Office dam safety requirements. Smith Geotechnical, Inc. of Fort Collins <br />commenced design in late spring 1998. Construction commenced by Barker Construction <br />Company of Fort Collins in September and is scheduled for completion in December 1999. <br /> <br />Excelsior Irrigating Comoanv - Excelsior Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 County: Pueblo - E of Pueblo <br />Water Source: Arkansas River Project Yield: 4,250 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $230,000 @ 3.75% for 30 yrs Project Type: Ditch Rehabilitation <br />This $335,000 project is the re-construction of approximately 2 miles of open ditch, which <br />has previously been abandoned and farmed over. Also included in the project is the construction of <br />several pump stations for water delivery. The project is located in Pueblo County 10 miles east of <br />Pueblo. Project design was prepared by the Pueblo Office of the Natural Resource Conservation <br />Service, Ralph Adkins, P.E. of Pueblo, Irrigation Engineering of Alamosa and Hendrooke <br />Sprinklers of Ft. Collins. Project construction commenced by the owner and several sub- <br />contractors in May 1998 and was originally scheduled for completion in the fall of 1999. Flooding <br />damaged the project during the summer of 1999 that has delayed the project's completion schedule <br />until April 2000. <br /> <br />Julesburg Irrigation District - Harmonv Ditch # I Diversion Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Emerg. Infrastructure Repair Account County: Logan - SW of Crook <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 40,000 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $590,000 @ 3.75% for 30 years Project Type: Diversion Rehabilitation <br />This project is the emergency rehabilitation of the Julesburg Irrigation District's Harmony <br />Ditch #1 diversion structure on the South Platte River 4 miles southwest of Crook. The structure <br />was damaged by the 1997 South Platte floods and is critical to the operation of the Company's <br />Julesburg Reservoir. Zoyiopoulos & Associates of Greeley prepared the design plans and the <br />construction contract was awarded to Concrete Specialties, Inc. of Sterling in early January 1999. <br />Construction is currently 60% complete. Due to the threat oflow spring runoff, the District decided <br />to complete 50% of the diversion dam and 100% of the headgate structure, demobilize the <br />contractor, and complete the project in the fall. Continuation of construction has been re-scheduled <br />to commence in December with project completion scheduled for April 2000. <br /> <br />Pinon Mesa Ranches Community Association - Rural Raw Water Svstem Construction <br />
