<br />, <br /> <br />Director's Report Attachment - November 22-23, 1999, Board Meeting .. <br />Water Project Construction Loan Program .. <br />Design and Construction Status Report <br /> <br />The CWCB Project Plarming and Construction Section has completed I project in FY 99- <br />00. Currently we have 12 projects under construction and 9 projects in the design phase. <br /> <br />The attached spreadsheet summarizes project status including budget, construction <br />schedule, and progress to date. No projects were completed during the current reporting period. <br /> <br />The attached progress report briefly outlines all active project design and construction <br />information and progress to date. <br /> <br />Projects Under Construction <br /> <br />Fort Morgan. City of - NCWCD Southern Pipeline Extension <br /> <br />Authorization: SB94-029, SB98-1189, Svmce Tax County: WeldIMorgan- W ofFt. Morgan <br />- Water Source: Colo.-Big ThompsonlWindy Gap Project Yield: 6,877 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $5,500,000 @ 4% for 40 years Project Type: Pipeline Construction <br />$8,000,000 @ 4% for 30 years <br />This project is an extension of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District's <br />Southem Pipeline Project. The pipeline extension will provide high quality western slope water to <br />the City of Fort Morgan for their municipal use. Montgomery Watson, Inc. of Denver completed <br />the project design, from the HudsonlFt. Lupton extension at Platteville, to the Fort Morgan area, in <br />June 1998. The construction contract was awarded to BRB Contractors, Inc. of Topeka, Kansas <br />and construction commenced September I, 1998. Construction has been completed ahead of <br />schedule, with final project documentation currently underway. Substantial completion is <br />scheduled for December 1999. <br /> <br />DeWeese-Dve Ditch and Reservoir Companv - DeWeese Dve Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 County: Custer - SW of Canon City <br />Water Source: Grape River Project Yield: 4,020 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $734,000 @ 4% for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br />This project consists of the replacement of the entire upper 12 feet of the DeWeese Dye <br />dam crest. The new crest section will include reinforcing bar anchors drilled and grouted into the <br />original dam and a new drainage/seepage control system. GEl Consultants, Inc. of Englewood, CO <br />completed project design and construction contract documents. The construction contract was <br />awarded to Blattner and Sons, Construction Co., Inc. of Avon, Minnesota July 19, 1999. <br />Construction commenced in August, is currently 99% complete, and is scheduled for completion in <br />December 1999. <br /> <br />Leroux Creek Water Users Association - Carl Smith Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Emergency Infrastructure Account County: Delta - N of Hotchkiss <br />Water Source: Leroux Creek Project Yield: 750 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $300,000 @ 4.0% for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br />This project is the re-construction of the Carl Smith Dam, located 15 miles north of <br />Hotchkiss in Delta County, which failed unexpectedly in May 1998.
