River Extension which will require
$15,000 to $18,000. We have these in
addition to the third group starting
with Fruitland Mesa and Bostwick Park."

"I cannot help but believe these projects
in the bill are authorized. The reports
are prepared but they need some additional
study, but very little, and they are
authorized. They should not be held
up, awaiting completion of those we are
studying now."

"I have a question in my mind. We have the
money available?"

MR. CRAWFORD: "Yes, $75,000 may be used for study of
projects on the Western Slope."

MR. MOSES:

"Mr. Chairman, I would like to make a
motion concerning the Silt and Smith
Fork Project. I move that these
projects be set up with the state
contributing the funds that you have set--
funds to assist in the completion of
those studies."

MR. FINLINSON: "There might be a question on Pine
River Extension. This amendment
in the bill states there is no new
land to be brought in for a period
of ten years."

Mr. Dickson asked for clarification and Mr.
Finlinson clarified it.

MR. PUGHE:

"Any further questions concerning the
motion?"

The motion was seconded, and on vote being taken,
was carried unanimously.

"~r. Chairman, I would like to move that
Fruitland Mesa be given a priority
and the amount of money as set forth
as a contribution by the state be
offered ~ we have $10,000 to $15,000.
If it is found that this would not
expedi te the studies, .then it should
not be spent at all."

The motion was seconded, and on vote being taken,
was carried unanimously.
