The project is located in Rio Grande County, 3 miles east of Monte Vista The <br />AIamosa office of the Natural Resource Conservation Service has prepared the design plans with the <br />CWCB staff preparing the construction contract documents. Due to Wlexpected expenditures in 1998, <br />the Company has postponed construction of the project until the sunnner and full of 1999. <br /> <br />Highland Ditch Comoanv - Foothills Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1198 - Severence Tax <br />Water Source: St. VrainRiver <br />Terms of Loan: $1,040,000 @4.0"Iofor30years <br /> <br />County: Boulder - W ofLongmont <br />Project Yield: 450 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the rehabilitation of Foothills Reservoir dam, located west of Longmont in <br />Boulder County. The dam has an inadequate spillway and severe seepage through the embankment <br />and has had a storage restriction placed on it by the State Engineer. The Highland Ditch Company has <br />contracted with Smith Geotechnical Engineering Consultants of Fort Collins to analyze design <br />alternatives and complete construction plans and specifications. Construction is scheduled to <br />commence in the full of1999. <br /> <br />Wood Lake Mutual Water & Irrigation Comoanv ~ Wood Lake Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Cache ]a Poudre River <br />Terms of Loan: $188,000 @3.75%for30years <br /> <br />County: Weld - W of Eaton <br />Project Yield: 3,106 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the replacement of the Wood Lake Dam outlet works including all control <br />structures, installation of a toe drain, raising the existing saddle dam, and construction of a spillway to <br />pass the 50"10 Probable Maximum Precipitation flood. The need fur the improvements is a resuh of the <br />State Engineer's Office dam safety requirements. Smith Geotechnical, Inc. of Fort Collins commenced <br />design in late spring 1998. Construction is scheduled for early spring and sunnner of 1999. <br />
