Project Type: Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />This project is the construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam, <br />located 11 miles northwest of Wiggins in Weld County. The State Engineer has placed a storage <br />restriction on the reservoir until an emergency spillway is completed. The Riverside Reservoir and <br />Land Company contracted with W. W. Wheeler and Associates of Denver to prepare construction <br />plans and specifications. The State Engineer's office is currently reviewing the plans with construction <br />scheduled to conunence and be completed in 1999. <br /> <br />Leroux: Creek Water Users Association - Carl Smith Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Emergency Infrastructure Account County: Delta - N of Hotchkiss <br />Water Source: Leroux: Creek Project Yield: 750 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $300,000 @ 4.0"10 fur 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />This emergency loan project is the re-construction of the Carl Smith Dam, located 15 miles <br />north of Hotchkiss in Delta County, which fulled unexpectedly in May 1998. The Leroux: Creek Water <br />Users Association has contracted Smith Geotechnical Engineering Consultants of Forth Collins to <br />analyze design ahernatives and complete construction plans and specifications. Construction is <br />scheduled for the summer of 1999. <br /> <br />DeWeese-Dye Ditch and Reservoir Comoanv - DeWeese Dye Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 <br />Water Source: Grape River <br />Terms of Loan: $734,000 @4% fur 30 years <br /> <br />County: Custer - SW of Canon City <br />Project Yield: 4,020 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project consists of the replacement of the entire upper 12 teet of the DeWeese Dye dam e <br />crest. The new crest section will include reinforcing bar anchors drilled and grouted into the original <br />dam and a new drainage/seepage control system. GEl Consultants, Inc. of Englewood will conunence <br />de!ligning the project in late 1998. Construction is scheduled fur summer and full of 1999. <br />
