Included in this report will be recommend-
ations for some work on Cherry Creek. At
Cherry Creek Dam we would propose to raise
the spillway so that it would no longer flow
into TOll Gate Creek in case the water in
Cherry Creek were enough to make the spillway
flow. It never has but it certainly could. I
This would require, in order to store a proba- .
ble maximum flood in the Cherry Creek basin,
that we would have to get some additional
storage besides that that is available in
Cherry Creek, even with the spillway raised
some 42 feet. We would have to do this and
we would propose to do this at the Castlewood
site which is upstream. This will be in the
Sand-Toll Gate report which, I repeat, is
coming out about the first of July. It will
go forward to our higher authority at that
time.

On Bijou Creek we have a study under
way which we expect to complete about Decem-
ber 1969. This report we have speeded up in
order to fit in with the plans of the Bureau
of Reclamation for the Narrows Project that
they have in the immediate area.

We have done some flood plain information
studies. The most recent one was given to
the people in Boulder County on Left Hand
Creek which should be appropriate today be-
cause some of the people here told me there
is some high water on that particular stream
as well as Boulder Creek, up in that region.
That was in February of this year. We are
continuing with studies on Boulder Creek and
South Boulder Creek. These are flood plain
information studies which do not offer flood
control plans but try to show the people in
those areas where their flood problems really
are with regard to their streams.

On Chatfield Dam we have just completed
the Stage II earthwork. Mr. Sparks referred
to chatfield. We are working as rapidly as
