THOMASa

"I'd be happy to.

Board members, ladies and gentlemen, we
have a one page written report which I am
sure you have picked up. I'll try to sum-
marize that and amplify on it just a little
bit.

The Omaha District has projects in all
stages of development here on the eastern
slope of the Rocky Mountains. I'll go over
these one at a time.

I

On Sand and 1'011 Gate creeks, one on
which we had a public meeting last week on
the 30th of April in Aurora. This project
includes a couple of reservoirs, one on Sand
Creek and one on 1'011 Gate Creek. The plan
we thought was pretty well received at the
public hearing. There were some opponents
there. These were landowners in the immed-
iate reservoir areas and it has been our
finding that normally we do get opposition
from people who live in the reservoir areas
and it is quite understandable. Otherwise we
had very fine public support at this meeting.
We will submit our report about the first of
July, in just a few months.
