This core- <br />drilling project is part of a three-year National Science Foundation research study that will focus on <br />the evolution of the Denver Basin and its landscapes, Drilling is planned to begin in early 1999, <br /> <br />DeWeese.Dve Ditch and Reservoir Comuanv - DeWeese Dve Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 <br />Water Source: Grape River <br />Terms of Loan: $734,000 @4%for30years <br /> <br />County: Custer - SW of Canon City <br />Project Yield: 4,020 ac,ft, <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project consists of the replacement of the entire upper 12 feet of the DeWeese Dye <br />dam crest. The new crest section will include reinforcing bar anchors drilled and grouted into the <br />original dam and a new drainage/seepage control system, GEl Consultants, Inc, of Englewood <br />commencing in late summer 1998 will design the project. Construction is scheduled for spring and <br />summer of 1999, <br /> <br />DNR - Division of Wildlife - Native Aquatic Suedes Restoration Facilitv <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 <br />Water Source: San Luis Valley Aquifers <br />Terms of Loan: $2,000,000 Grant <br /> <br />County: Alamosa - W of Alamosa <br />Project Yield: N/A <br />Project Type: Aquatic Species Hatchery <br /> <br />This project is the construction of a Native Aquatic Species Restoration Facility just west of <br />Alamosa The project is being managed and 60% funded by the Division of Wildlife. FishPro, Inc, <br />ofPor! Orchard, Washington has been selected to prepare the project design that will commence in <br />July 1998, Construction is scheduled to commence in June 1999 with completion scheduled for <br />June 2000, <br />
