The District provides water to 55,000 people, or more than half "fthe <br />Grand Valley population, The project is currently in the environmental analysis phase of the <br />project design, The Environmental Assessment was heavily scrutinized by the Fish and Wildlife <br />Service relative to the Recovery Implementation Program along the 15.mile reach, This analysis <br />has resulted in the Bureau of Land Management (the lead federal agency) requiring an <br />Environmental Impact Statement be prepared before federal approval can be granted, The Record <br />of Decision regarding the EIS was completed in June 1998. Camp, Dresser, & McKee, Inc. of <br />Denver is currently preparing the project design for a construction commencement in late 1998, <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Wood Lake Mutual Water & Irrigation Comnanv - Wood Lake Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97.008 <br />Water Sour.:~: Cache la Poudre River <br />Terms of Loan: $188,000 @3,75% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Weld-EofEaton <br />Project Yield: 3,106 ac,ft, <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Throject is the replacement of the Wood Lake Dam outlet works including all control <br />structures, Ulstallation of a toe drain, raising the existing saddle dam, and construction of a spillway <br />to pass the 50% Probable Maximum Precipitation flood, The improvements are a result of the State _ <br />Engineer's Office dam safety requirements. Smith Geotechnical, Inc, of Fort Collins commenced _ <br />design in late spring 1998, Construction is scheduled for early spring and swnmer of 1999, <br />
