We had to make a ne~l evaluation of
that from the standpoint of releases for water
quality control and this analysis will be in
the report. rt is physically possible although
it doesn't fit in with the present water laws
of the State of Colorado. When this report is
adopted and approved by the Secretary it will
be fon.arded to the state for its comments.

We also, in that regard, made some studies
to show the effects of the operation of the
Narrows Unit on water users in Nebraska. There
appears to be nothing detrimental to their uses
dO\m there in Nebraska.

On the Upper South Platte unit, some cost
estimates of subreconnaissance grade were pre-
pared of single purpose alternatives for stor-
ing Aurora's M&I water supply. These cost
estimates will be used in the allocation of
project costs.

Also, an operation study was made of the
upper south platte-Blue-Eagle system without
T':10 Forks Reservoir in it just to assess the
reregulation effects that would be caused by
the Two Forks Reservoir. An operation study
was made on that portion of the system con-
sti tu ted by Bear, Turkey, and Clear Creeks.

Work was continued on developing criteria
on which to base the operating studies of the
overall unit.

1

A preliminary analysis of power potentials
at the potential Two Forks Dam and Turkshead
Reservoir was completed and submitted to tl1e
Bureau's Washington office for policy recommend-
ation.

The reconnaissance report on the st. Vrain
unit was completed and is now undergoing review
