"Thank you, !.tr. Chairman. Members of the
Board, ladies and gentlemen, it didn't take me
long to get on the program,I see~

TO give the report of Region 7, Bureau
of Reclamation activities in Colorado, as per
usual the written report was submitted and
parts of it will be updated as I go through
it.

One of the projects we have been working
on is the use of water out of Bonny Reservoir,
out near Wray, Colorado, near the community of
Armel. We met with the Armel Steering Commit-
tee along with Stanley Miller of the Colorado
Water Conservation Board staff to see what
could be done to restudy, in effe~t, the project
that we had studied back some l5 years ago. A
preliminary economic analysis was prepared and
the supporting data is being assembled. Before
we can go into a feasibility study, of course,
we will have to have congressional authoriza-
tion.

Also in that regard we met in June in
Denver with the Republican River compact Admin-
istration to discuss the water use for further
developments in that area of the Republican
River.
