I attended the meeting of the Upper Colo-
rado River Commission in Denver on December 15th.

In conjunction with your Director, I have
devoted some time to the solution of the problem
of the sponsors of the Bostwick Park project in
withdrawing from the Tri-County Water Conservancy
District.

I must again report little progress in at-
tempting to assist the sponsors of the Trinidad
Project in changing the place of use of the
Model Reservoir priority.'

I

I now have available, though, the map of
the Model Reservoir and I have been promised a
copy of the decree and some other information
I need to now prepare the petition. I hope to
do that promptly.

At the request of the Director and the Vice-
Chairman I have prepared a form of resolution
concerning the death of Dean Crawford. I pre-
sume that all of you saw in the papers about
his death on November 19th. wi th the chair's
permission I will read that proposed form of
resolution at this time:

'Ivan Charles Crawford, Director of the
Colorado Water Conservation Board from 1953 to
1958, died at his home in Boulder on November
19, 1960, following a long illness, at the age
of 74. A native son of Colorado, Dean Crawford
was born at Leadville. He was engaged in writ-
ing a book entitled "Life in Leadville" at the
time of his death.

Few men have ever more thoroughly earned
the title of "Dean" than Ivan Crawford, as he I
had, during his lifetime of public service, been
dean of the Engineering Colleges of Idaho, Kan-
sas and Michigan Universities.

He was special consultant to the United
states government on water conservation affairs
in 1933 and again in 1936 and 1937. He was a
consultant to the Army Ordnance Department
