report. I don't see Mr. Redmond in the audience
although we do have a report from them. will
you read that, Kuip?"

"The report is as follows:

'A review of our civil works program in Colo-
rado indicates that there have been no signifi-
cant developments in the program during the past
two months. We are pleased to report, however,
that scheduled progress has been maintained on
preconstruction planning of the Trinidad Reser-
voir project and the general investigations pro-
gram in the Arkansas River Basin above John
Martin Dam.

As you know, we are concentrating our efforts
on the Trinidad Reservoir project with the view
of placing the project under construction next
year, if construction funds are made available.
In this connection, the recent progress made by
the Bureau of Reclamation in redrafting the
operating principles is noteworthy. It is hoped
that immediately after the detailed review of
these principles by your staff, and representa-
tives of the Bureau of Reclamation and this
District on 28 June 1963 in your office, it will
be possible to complete the necessary additional
coordination as scheduled with the Arkansas
Valley interest, and consummate an irrigation
repayment contract between the project water
users and the Bureau of Reclamation.

ments in our program during the past two months,
this District will not be represented at the
forthcoming meeting of the Board. Thank you
