."",~J,,",, Division, of New York. Invitations have been issued to prospective contractors for construc- tion of the administration and dispatching build- ing; which bids will be opened on July 2nd. Moving on to the participating projects, on the Florida Project full-scale operations are now in progress. Lemon Dam is more than two-thirds completed and work on the Florida Farmers Diver- sion Dam and canal enlargements is substantially completed. This work has been accomplished in a little over fifty percent of the time allowed for this contract. 11ater was made available through this new irrigation system in April - approxi- mately one year ahead of schedule. I Now going on to Advance Planning, work is still progressing on our silt Project. Since this report was prepared they have held their election on the 18th of this month on the repayment con- tract with the government. They had a very favor- able election. The unofficial results show 533 voting for the project, 17 voting against the project. There is no change from that previously re- ported to you on the Crystal Dam and Powerplant. Moving on to General Investigations, there is not a great deal of change on these investiga- tions programs since the last Board meeting. For convenience we have repeated the status of these various investigations or the last significant action that has taken place. Since this report was prepared the Commis- sioner of the Bureau of Reclamation has released the Parshall report and I think last week we transmitted that to the State Water Board and to the local people.
