7~

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board recommends
and urges the construction of the Juniper Dam and that a copy
of this resolution be transmitted to the Colorado Water Con-
servation Board.

Adopted this 6th day of August, A. D. 1957.

Board of County Commissioners
Moffat County, Colorado
Sam J. Steele, Chairman
Earl Wilson, Commissioner
O. Marion Jones, Commissioner

Enthusiastic.

I am enthusiastic over the revival of public interest in
Juniper irrigation project. It will put water on 100,000 acres
of seIDidesert land in Colorado and Utah. Standing alone it will
increase the population of Moffat County ten fold and bring
Northwestern Colorado into its own. When our oil and gas re-
serves are depleted as they will be, lOO,OOO acres of rich farm
land will be a cushion and what a cushion:

Edwin C. Johnson
Colorado River
Commissioner

On consideration of the above information I earnestly
urge a high priority be given the Juniper Project by the Colo-
rado Water Conservation Board.

/s/

L.
