Upon vote, the motion passed unanimously.
MR. PETERSON: "Would you like to go into the bud-
get next, Dean Crawford?"

Dean Crawford explained the budget and
was set up on the basis of not exceeding that of
at the request of the Governor's budget officer.

"I would like to have this budget
approved and to have authority to ask
for $150,000 for cooperation with the
Government agencies, especially the
Bureau of Reclamation, for the coming
year."

Mr. Stapleton asked, in view of the request of
the Governor that members of the Board attend other meet-
ings of water groups, if there were funds to cover such
expense. Dean Crawford explained that there might be $600
or $800 to cover such travel expense of members out of the
fund already set up for travel expense.

"I would like to make one suggestion
and that is to have the budget sent out
to each member of the Board prior to
the meeting at which it is to be con-
sidered so that we may have some time
to look it over."

Director's request for authority to ask
