been accomplished on reservoir and damsite topography and
geologic explorations at the damsites. Most aspects of the
investigation have been completed only in reconnaissance scope.
It is hoped that detailed investigations can be resumed in
F. Y. 1959.

Other Projects. With completion of the Yampa-White re-
port, the Bureau has appraised and reported, at least in recon-
naissance scope, practically all known potentialities for
water resource development in western Colorado. This back-
ground of information will be useful to the Bureau and to
State and local interests and others in appraising the overall
situation and in determining the course of further detailed
studies and construction. Detailed investigations are sche-
duled to start on the Troublesome, Dallas Creek, Eagle Divide,
Grand Mesa, Ohio Creek, and Rabbit Ears Projects in the immed-
iate seven-year program. Other projects given priority by law
will be scheduled for detailed investigations as soon as funds
and personnel can be made available.

Last evening I made a tabulation of the funds to be allotted
for investigations for this fiscal year in western Colorado which
is as follows:

The total allotment for western Colorado on recon-
naissance and project investigations amounts to $515,159, of
