proposals, recommended funding the following projects, which begin March I, 2004:

. Salt Chemistry Effects on Indirect Field Salinity Assessment in the
Arkansas Valley. Grant Cardon, CSU, Project Director
. Urban Landscape Inigation with Reclaimed Wastewater: Tracking Soil
and Plant Impacts. Yaling Qian, CSU, Project Director (in collaboration
with Denver Water and the City of Denver)
. Determination of Ecosystem Response Thresholds to Nutrient Enrichment
of Flowing Waters in Montane Colorado. Bill Lewis, CU, Project
Director. (in collaboration with the Water Quality Control Division of the
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment)
. Enhancements to the South Platte Mapping and Analysis Program

Water research priorities for CWRRI's FY 2005 Call for Proposals are currently being
solicited from Colorado water users and managers.

CWRRl's technology transfer efforts include the CWRRI newsletter, Colorado
Water, which serves as a conduit of information between Colorado's higher education
'water' faculty and Colorado water managers and users. The newsletter, published six
times a year, is distributed to over 1800 water users, managers, faculty, legislators and
Congressional representatives. CWRRI also publishes research reports in a variety of
formats designed to meet the information needs of various audiences. CWRRI maintains
