.

.

.

47

1

So I think the procedure could be if we can't iron

2 out a solution to this issue prior to next December and the

3 Board is not satisfied at that time, we could recommend the

4 project for deauthorization and run it back. We don't have

5 to enter into a contract.

6

MR. FETCHER: I notice that Vic Hanson is in the

7 audience. He might have some input on the matter, and I would
"

8

suggest, too, that Director Chris Ferno check into the matter
,/

9

'--
from his end as well as his staff.

10

MR. McDONALD: Chris is snowed in, and that's why

11 the information is not here, which is a reason why I don't

12 think action is appropriate on this matter, but rather just

13

an instruction to the staff to continue to examine this.

14

MR. FETCHER: Vic, do you know of anything to say

15 about the Meadow Creek, or do you know about it?

16 (No response.)

17

MR. FETCHER: I guess he doesn't.

18

MR. STAPLETON: All right.

19

MR. JACKSON: One thing I agree with you on. We

20

shouldn't be precipitous. But I do think since the conditions

21

that we were presented have apparently changed, and I would

22

hope that you would contact the sponsors of the--the primary

23

sponsor, Fred Anderson--of this bill, and make sure that they

24

are on notice that there may be a change in that particular

25

project. I think our credibility would be in some jeopardy
