STAPLETON: Guess I can read as poorly as anyone <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />"RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />"WHEREAS, the Colorado River Water Conservation <br />District has prepared and will on January 31, 1980, <br />file its application with the Federal Energy Regula- <br />tory Commission for a license to construct and oper- <br />ate the Juniper-Cross Mountain Hydroelectric project <br />on the Yampa River in Moffat County, Colorado; and <br />"WHEREAS, the Project as proposed will provide <br />for the storage and conservation of approximately <br />1,290,000 acre-feet of water for beneficial use in <br />Colorado, directly or by exchange, with installed hy- <br />droelectric capacity of 148,000 kw and an annual av- <br />erage electrical energy out of 34809 megawatt hours, <br />and will further provide for extensive water related <br />recreational opportunities; and <br />"WHEREAS, the utilization of water for such pur- <br />poses is within entitlements of the State of Colorado <br />to Colorado River water under and by virtue of the <br /> <br />18 <br />
