<br />The proposed dam would be an earth-fill or rock-fill embankment <br /> <br /> <br />about 70 feet high with a crest length of approximately 310 <br /> <br /> <br />feet. The storage capacity of the resevoir would be 2,120 <br /> <br /> <br />acre-feet. A conditional storage right in such an amount was <br /> <br /> <br />adjudicated to the company in February, 1972, with a priority of <br /> <br /> <br />September 16, 1963. The dam and reservoir would be located <br /> <br /> <br />totally on U.S. Forest Service land. The water supply developed <br /> <br /> <br />by the project would be used for supplemental irrigation late in <br /> <br /> <br />the season. Based on current cost data, the staff has estimated <br /> <br /> <br />that this project will cost approximately $1,000,000. <br /> <br />If proven feasible, this project would clearly be consistent <br /> <br /> <br />with the statutoy criteria set forth in 37-60-121(1)(b), C.R.S. <br /> <br /> <br />1973, as amended (see section 3 of S.B. 439). <br /> <br />FMA/gl <br /> <br />-2- <br />
