It involves the development of <br />distribution systems, treatment systems, the <br />development of a marketing pattern;'andthe <br />maintaining of this system. I think the last <br />item is particularly important because without <br />adequate policy for maintaining an extensive <br />system it is difficult to meet the objectives <br />that are required of the Denver Water Board. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~~- <br /> <br />They started with a small beginning almost <br />at the beginning of the century and today have <br />developed to the point where they are serving <br />approximately 800,000 people in the community. <br /> <br />,", ; <br /> <br />I have been asked to review the future <br />plans of the Water Department as far as fur- <br />nishing water to Denver. 'I think a brief <br />review of our present system would be in <br />order and I'll make it brief.
