MR. SPARKS:

able in our office should anyone desire a copy."

MR. STAPLETON:

"You have two resolutions in your folders.

Is there somebody here from Boulder to
talk on the second resolution?"

MR. DIEFFENDERFER: "I am Ted Dieffenderfer. I have here two
maps on which we have outlined the 100 year
flood plains that we are requesting in the
resolution that is before the Board, the
designation and approval of these flood plains.
I can put them up if you desire. I also have
the master plan that shows what happens after
We accomplish the program that is set forth in
the volumes.

We are requesting favorable action of the
Board as to these reports. We now have every
stream that courses the city of Boulder, both
~lood plained and master planned with the
exception of portions of Boulder Creek. East
of 28th Street Boulde~ Creek has been flood
plained by the Corps of Engineers and at the
present time we have a joint venture between
Boulder County, the residents o~ the area along
Boulder Creek and the city. Actually the study
area we are talking about from the C. & S.
railroad out to 75th Street has been and is
all outside of the city at the present time
but it is immediately adjacent to the city so
it is of some concern to us that we do good
planning in that area. We already have the
area from 24th to 28th Street master planned
as far as Boulder Creek is concerned and the
Corps is in the process of updating Boulder
Creek between 28th Street and the mouth of the
canyon. We very soon will have every stream
that courses the city both flood plained and
master planned.

At this time we would like to ask you to
take favorable action on the ones that are
listed in the resolution that is before you.
