of the State of Colorado and the Colorado Water Congress provide
to the Colorado Water Conservation Board, sufficient funding and
support to insure that the State of Colorado will meet this serious
threat to its continued water resource development.

I, FREDERICK V. KROEGER, Vice-President of the Southwestern
Water Conservation District, do hereby certify that the foregoing is .1
a true and correct copy of a Resolution of the Board of Directors ..
of the Southwestern Water Conservation Board of Colorado, adopted
at a regularly scheduled meeting of that Board on January 7, 1971.

Isl FREDERICK V. KROEGER

MR: STAPLETON:

"As I take it, Larry, there is nothing we
have to do further as a resolution of this
Board at this time."

MR. SPARKS:

"No, I think we are doing everything we
can right now. The Governor asked me to make
a report to him on this matter and also about
the funding that Sam has mentioned. I met
with the Governor yesterday. He wants to be
kept advised of both the progress of the law-
suit and the funding necessary.

For the immediate future it doesn't appear
that much funding will be required. If it
appears that we will have to enter the case
then considerable funding will be required."

MR. STAPLETON:

"All right, I think that takes care of that
agenda item.

I think we can consider #6 and #7 together.
You've got some resolutions prepared in regard
to flood plain information reports, one pre-
pared by the U. S. Corps of Engineers and one
by Wright-McLaughlin Engineers relating to two
areas, the Denver metropolitan area and
Boulder Creek.

1

Larry, are there any comments you want to
make other than the adoption of these resolu-
tions?"
