problem, however, in connection with this
project in that municipal storage was not an
authorized purpose of the project. If we now
desire municipal storage, the project will have
to be reauthorized. I see no real problem in
connection with the reauthorization. It would,
however, t&ke time. There is a problem with
the time sChedule in trying to get some decision I
as to whether or not municipal storage should
be included.

We have had several conferences with the
Corps of ~ngineers on the matter. The last
one was yesterday when General Morris and
colonel Pendergrass were in our offices.

Do you have any idea as to when we could
get at some decision as to whether or not it
would be advisable to request municipal storage
in the Mt. Carbon Reservoir?"

MR. OGILVIE=-

"I think we can arr,ive at that decision
rather promptly. General Morris is meeting
with the Water Board Commissioners today and
we will be discussing that particular aspect
of the proposal and determining what the Corps
reaction is to space in.Bear Creek Lake. I am
having trouble with my names but I understand
the Corps refers to it now as Bear Creek Lake.
I don't know why but that's what they are
usi~g. "

MR. SPARKS:

"Since this Board is vitally interested,
we would like to know what decision is made."

MR. OGILVIE:

"From Our standpoint, Larry, it is a nominal
amount and there are many aspects and many
possibilities relative to exchange or utiliza-
tion of these water rights. We will look at it,
evaluate it, from the Corps standpoint and see
what the difficultdes are but Our objective is I
not to delay Bear Creek Lake Reservoir as a
result of this nominal amount of storage."
