MR. OGILVIE:
MR. BERTHELSON:
I MR. STAPLETON:
MR. KROEGER:

MR. OGILVIE:

I

on your maps, do you have any studies or plans
in progress in regard to the Yampa River?"

"No, sir, we do not have.. II

"Thank you."

"That's a pointed questionl"

"Mr. Ogilvie, I notice you don't have any
plans for the Animas either.

I want to congratulate you and the Denver
Water Board for the tremendous job you have
done in supplying water to your community and
the long-range look that you are taking.
There are a couple of things that bother me
somewhat like Si, I think. Your projection
is based totally on population. You appar-
ently moved three times in population and
three times in water supply. Isn't there an
increase in water consumption per capita as
we go on with more and more modern applicances?
Also, have you given any thought to the fact
that some place, maybe Denver which all people
in Colorado are proud of, will ultimately have
too many people, too many social problems, too
much smog, too much pollution? I mean, isn't
there a limit someplace down the way where
you really need no longer worry about water,
but will need to worry about the fear of being
too congested?"

"To answer your last question first, I
think from the Water Department's standpoint
and particularly from the Board of Water Com-
missioners, they are inclined to let that be
a social problem, a prOblem that the politicians
will work out or a prOblem that the community
in developing their planning will work out.
We certainly will cooperate and work with com-
munities, Denver or wherever, if those type of
restrictions appear to be in the making. Cer-
tainly if there are limitations placed on a
community like Denver, probably satellites
