work again on the lateral systems there. The
work was shut down during the winter.

Now on the silt Project we have awarded
a bid for the construction of our laboratory
and field office and just this week we moved
into our permanent offices at Silt. We will
open bids on June 23rd on Rifle Gap Dam.

Moving on to the transmission lines, work
is just about on schedule on all of those
lines. On June 11th we will call for bids for
another section, l24-mile-long Glen Canyon to
Flagstaff 345-Kilovolt line.

So much for construction and I see that
the next part of my report is already out of
date. That is, the filling of the storage
units. I might give you just a little inform-
ation" the last information, as to storage in
each one of these reservoirs:

At 8:00 A. M. on May 11th water in Glen
Canyon Dam was at elevation 3394.5; its capa-
city was 2,560,000 acre-feet. At that time the
inflow was approximately lO,OOO c.f.s.; the
outflow was about 12,400 c.f.s.

At 11:00 A. M. on May 11th the gates were
closed and the discharge from Glen Canyon was
reduced to about 1,000 second feet. Yesterday
Glen Canyon was at elevation 3395; with a stor-
age content of 2,573,000 acre-feet. In the
past day they had gained about 13,000 acre-
feet in the reservoir. The outflow was down
to 1,000 second feet and the inflow was around
10,000 second feet.

I have the last figures on May 8th here
on the other storage units. At Navajo, the
elevation was 5,940.44; we had a total surface
content there of 380,200; discharge was about
500 second feet. At Flaming Gorge on May 8th
the elevation in the reservoir was 5,938.35
with a content of about 973,500 acre-feet. We
were gaining in here on that date at the rate
