It hasn't been too favor- <br />able towards construction activities but con- <br />struction is now proceeding on all phases of <br />the main storage units and participating proj- <br />ects about on schedule. <br /> <br />Not much construction activity at Glen <br />Canyon at the present time. It is all prac- <br />tically on schedule. <br /> <br />Flaming Gorge is in full service, capable <br />of full generation. He have a visitors center <br />that is substantially completed with the excep- <br />tion of the exhibits to be placed in the <br />visitors house. <br /> <br />Moving on to the Curecanti Unit, Blue Mesa <br />Dam is better than 50% completed. The contrac- <br />tor started the placing of earthfill in the <br />dam proper on the 20th of April. He is also <br />progressing well with the other work under way, <br />spillway, placing concrete, tunnel lining, <br />excavation for the powerplant and so on. <br /> <br />At Morrow point, the contractor completed <br />his diversion tunnel and he started Monday to <br />divert the river around the dam foundation. <br />That will allow him freedom now to go ahead and <br />complete his excavation at that site and move <br />into the excavation for the powerplant and so <br />on. <br /> <br />At Crystal D~m, we moved in our drill <br />crews the first of this month to complete the <br />final drilling of that unit. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />As far as the highways are concerned <br />around Blue Mesa, the last section of this <br />highway, bid was awarded on April 2nd. This <br />will be the last connecting unit and it is <br />now anticipated that all highway work will be <br />completed by September of 1964. <br /> <br />On the Florida Project they are starting <br />
