approximately $18.4 million. If other municipalities in
northeast Colorado participate in the pipeline, the cost
to Broomfield will be less than $18.4 million.
Treated Water Transmission--A new potable water pipeline
will be constructed to transport water from a new
treatment facility to the City's distribution system.
Treatment Facility (8 MGD capacity)--A new water
treatment facility will likely be located along the
northern limits of the Broomfield Service Area.

It is the City's intent to request financial assistance from
the CWCB for the raw water transmission component of the project in
the form of a loan for $18,380,000 or less if other municipalities
participate in the pipeline.

PLANNING STUDIES UNDERWAY
The NCWCD has retained an engineering consultant to conduct a
study for route selection and a preliminary design for a pipeline
to serve cities throughout the southern part of the NCWCD and the
Municipal Subdistrict, to include Broomfield. It is expected that
