Promote the CWCB website as a primary resource <br /> <br />for the public to gather information concerning Colorado water issues. Provide technical <br /> <br />and Internet support to CWCB staff and web site visitors. Strive for clear, concise, and <br /> <br /> <br />effective communication of state water and water resource management issues, <br /> <br />challenges, and opportunities. <br /> <br />Mappinl! - Create and provide consistently accurate spatial data and mapping to meet <br />the agency's needs, as well as making spatial products available to the general public. <br />Continue working with sister agencies in obtaining the most current spatial data. <br /> <br />Electronic Data Manal!ement - Provide a comprehensive centralized inventory of the <br />CWCB's electronic data and help ensure that databases can be integrated to the extent <br />possible. Coordinate with all CWCB sections to determine their data needs, and develop <br />databases and access tools to maintain their information. Ensure electronically imaged <br />documents, maps, and data are available to and accessible by the water community, the <br />public, and CWCB staff through desktop software and the Internet. Assist in the <br />development of methods for obtaining and interpreting water use data and in the <br />development of a system for tracking and supporting water development proj ects. <br /> <br />Water Resource Information Center- Maintain a central resource center for the review <br /> <br /> <br />and analysis of CWCB actions, CWCB recommendations, publications, studies, reports, <br /> <br />and associated materials designed to educate the public and help water users make sound <br /> <br />resource decisions. <br /> <br />Statewide Outreach and Education - Perform outreach and water education, including <br />participating in public awareness and program advocacy activities to increase public and <br />organizational understanding of CWCB, and develop opportunities for each Section to <br />achieve their goals. <br /> <br />Water Education - Provide a better understanding of water issues through tools and <br />information, such as the DSS, State Internet Map Server, the Internet, and printed <br />materials, including annual publications, reports and newsletters.
