<br />coordinating the need for conservation and drought plans with the CWCB Construction <br /> <br />Fund Loan Program and Colorado Water Resource and Power Development Authority <br /> <br />to ensure loan applicants have satisfied the requirements of HB 91-1154. Monitor <br /> <br />compliance with grant contracts and coordinate with grant recipients to ensure <br /> <br />completion of plans and projects. Assist in the development of a standardized method to <br /> <br />report and receive water use data. <br /> <br />Statewide Outreach and Education - Each Section shall perform outreach and education <br />including participating in public awareness and program advocacy activities to increase <br />public and organizational understanding of CWCB and develop opportunities for each <br />Section to achieve their goals. <br /> <br />Water Information and Education - Make information accessible to CWCB's customers <br />and the public regarding water supply conservation and drought planning and <br />protection, as well as general information related to the Section, through publications, the <br />Internet, databases, and the imaging of documents. Work with the Colorado Foundation <br />for Water Education to make water information available to the pubic, water users, <br />educators, and elected officials. <br /> <br />Water Availability Task Force - Participate on the state drought task force to assist state <br />efforts to monitor, respond, and mitigate the impacts of drought. Make the information <br />available to the public, media, and state officials. <br /> <br />Water Information Section <br /> <br />Note to CWCB: The objectives of the Water Information Section have been rewritten to <br />provide a clear, concise, and informative vision of the work performed by the Section. <br />Grammatical changes to each section have been made but are not highlighted. New <br />objectives that may be of interest to the Board are highlighted below. <br /> <br />Water Information - Provide coordination of and support to all facets of CWCB water <br />information management including decision support, Internet, mapping, database, <br />electronically imaged documents, section newsletters, and library filing and maintenance. <br /> <br />Decision Support Systems (DSS) - Operate and maintain Colorado's DSS as an essential <br />service. Continue development and support of the DSS for the major basins. Explore the <br />feasibility of a reconnaissance study in the Arkansas River basin. Work with CWCB <br />12 <br />
