"I'm hopeful that by 12:1S we can conduct
what little further business we have."

"I'm assuming that such a committee could
huddle and act in about five minutes."

"How would a suggestion be of Mr. Kuiper as
a voting member and Mr. Eakes and Mr. Barkley to
go to this next meeting? Does anybody have any
objections to that as a recommendation?"

"Since the Board is obligated to pay the
expenses, I think it would be better to have the
Director and a member of the Board who represents
each side, rather than outside representation."

"I hadn't considered that proposition. I
thought that Mr. Eakes and Mr. Barkley, repre-
senting water groups with some budgets of their
own, would assume their own expenses."

"That's all right then. That's agreeable
wi th me."

"~10uld the Board agree to the recommendation
that Mr. Kuiper be the voting member and Mr.
Eakes and Mr. Barkley, at the expense of their
own boards, represent this state at the first
meeting in January of this council and report
back?"

"I would suggest that you find out from Mr.
Eakes and Mr. Barkley whether or not that's
satisfactory with them or not. That financial
burden you are placing on them might make a
difference."

"They are always interested in water develop-
ment for the state and I'm sure that will be no
unreasonable problem. Is there any problem do
you think in that regard, seriously, fellows?"
