At this <br />meeting a site selection report was submitted <br />to the committee by the Bureau of Reclamation. <br />This report presented comparative evaluations <br />of alternate main stem reservoirs at the Weld <br />County and Narrows sites. <br /> <br />Construction costs, without control of <br />Bijou Creek floods, would be about $7,000,000 <br />higher for the Weld County site than for the <br />Narrows site. With Bijou control included, the <br />costs of the Weld County site in conjunction with <br />a reservoir at the Wiggins site on Bijou Creek <br />would be more than $ll,OOO,OOO higher than those <br />for the Narrows site including the Bijou dykes <br />and channel. These costs are based on recon- <br />naissance or preliminary estimates. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Discussion among members of the committee <br />indicated that they were not willing to agree <br />on the selection of a site on the basis of con- <br />struction costs alone.
