"I would like to comment that I doubt if
very many people Who have interested themselves
in this problem have ever been told that you
cannot expect any water out of either or both
of the proposed sites without TWo Forks and I
think that this needs to have some clarifica-
tion both generally and specifically. I know
of no report, and I knoW of no concrete posi-
tion that has been taken by the Bureau of Recla-
mation, as is implied by the phraseology of
both presuming Two Forks will be built."

"We have initiated studies that Len Kuiper
mentioned, working with the Bureau of Reclama-
tion on a study of the river. In those studies,
we are collecting all the diversions and when
we get through we'll have all the basic data
for key years 1952 to 1957 which will give us
the high runoff years and the dry which will
give us a spread as to the various conditions
under which we will have to operate the river.
Once we get the information - basic information -
on a day-to-day basis of all the diversions,
and that is going to be from Denver all the way
down to Balzac (down below Fort Morgan), once
we get the information to ,the Bureau, we haven't
limited ourselves to the amount of the studies
we'll make because we can put them in the machine
and by various assumptions the answers to things
that Dave has asked for here has to follow. Each
water year is in a step of its own. You will
have all the answers. Also with and without the
Two Forks; whether you work Narrows alone;
whether water can be delivered by the Hardin
site; and the combinations above and how far you
can move the water up the river.
